Cleveland Kindness Purse Project

The Daughters of Penelope (Icarus Chapter) invites you to join them in supporting The Cleveland Kindness Purse Project.

Now thru Nov.17th, in the collection bin located in the lower Narthex of St. Demetrios Church, donate clean/ gently used purses. Empty purses are also welcome! Fill the donated purses with the following items, either individually or in bulk quantities:

  • Deodorant
  • Lotion
  • Lip balm
  • Tissues
  • Small (make-up) bag of pads/tampons
  • Full pack of razors & shaving cream
  • Toothpaste & tooth brush
  • Mints/gum
  • 1 Nail care item
  • 1 hair item (scrunchies, etc.)
  • 5-6 pieces of beauty items (makeup etc.)
  • Waterproof bag with hat, gloves, scarf & warm socks
  • Full size shampoo & conditioner
  • Body wash
  • Hand sanitizer

Each purse will be given to a woman in a NE Ohio shelter prior to Thanksgiving. Purses will be distributed at:
