Fr. Andrew Lentz
Fr. Andrew is a very proud Clevelander! His parents, Theodore and Susan Lentz raised him in their inner city home along with his younger sister, Sarah. After graduating from St. Ignatius High School in 2001, Fr. Andrew began his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago, and then transferred and graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2005.
Fr. Andrew went on to St. Vladimir’s seminary to begin his Master of Divinity studies, and then transferred to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology where he met his wife, Presvytera Lorena. As a student immigrant from Albania, she graduated Valedictorian in 2008 from Hellenic College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Leadership. She currently works in asset-liability management for PNC Bank. Fr. Andrew and Pres. Lorena were married in 2010. Fr. Andrew graduated with distinction in 2009.
As a seminary graduate, Fr. Andrew accepted his first position as a youth director and pastoral assistant at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church in Reading, PA. On October 6, 2012, he became the first to be ordained by the newly installed Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh. He was ordained a deacon at Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and later a priest at Annunciation Church in Akron, Ohio on December 23, 2012. Fr. Andrew was assigned to St. Demetrios effective January 1, 2019. He and Presvytera Lorena have two adorable sons, Theodore and Lazaros.
